The Perco Pan
How do I clean The Perco Pan?
Before using The Perco Pan for the first time, handwash it in warm soapy water, rinse and wipe dry with a soft non-abrasive towel.
After cooking, let The Perco Pan cool before adding or submerging it in water. Extreme and sudden changes in temperature can affect the life of the ceramic coating.
The Perco Pan is dishwasher safe however we recommend handwashing to preserve the ceramic coating. Always use a sponge or soft cloth to remove any residual food on the pan. If food is stuck to the pan, fill with soapy water and let it simmer in The Perco Pan. After cooling, use a soft sponge or non-abrasive plastic pad to remove the food. For more difficult residue, add water and vinegar in a 2 to 1 ratio with a tablespoon of baking soda and let simmer and cool before cleaning.
How do I preserve the nonstick ceramic coating?
Always add a tablespoon or two of oil to The Perco Pan as you heat it up for a minute or so before adding food. It is best to use high smoke point oil such as extra virgin olive oil. Avoid using spray oils or aerosols to preserve the ceramic nonstick coating.
The extra thick base of The Perco Pan heats quickly and evenly. It is best to use low to medium heat settings. Overheating can cause wear on the nonstick coating.
Use only wood, nylon or silicone utensils to avoid damage to the ceramic coating. Do not use metal utensils.
When lifting The Perco Pan, use protective hand wear to handle the built-in helper handle or when removing the lid during or after cooking. These areas will be hot to touch, take extra care.
Is The Perco Pan induction compatible?
Our Perco Pan was designed to be compatible with all stovetops including induction.
Is The Perco Pan oven safe?
Yes! The Perco Pan is oven safe up to 500°F (260°C).
Always use an oven mitt or hot pads when placing or removing to and from the oven. When moving The Perco Pan on the stove always lift the pan.
Is The Perco Pan dishwasher safe?
The Perco Pan is dishwasher safe however we recommend handwashing to preserve the ceramic coating.
There is some discoloration in my pan, is this normal?
Over time you may notice some discoloration of the ceramic coating. This is normal and will not affect the performance of The Perco Pan.

If cooking with a gas range stovetop, never allow the open flame to travel up the sides of the Perco Pot, this can lead to discoloration of your Perco Pot.
Always consult your stovetop user manual to ensure the use of proper cookware suitable for your appliance.
Do not use high heat settings. Low to medium heat settings work best for most cooking.
The Prep Board
How do I clean my Prep Board?
The bamboo board is hand wash only. Do not immerse it in water.
The removable trays are top rack dishwasher safe.
Other Product Warnings
Never place the Prep Board or removable trays in the oven or on the stovetop.
Lightweight Cast Iron Fry Pan (8 in., 10 in. or 12 in.)
How do I clean the Lightweight Cast Iron Fry Pan?
Prior to first use, wash your pan with warm water and dry thoroughly with a clean towel. Do not use soap. Do not put it in the dishwasher.
Not dishwasher safe.
How do I season the cast iron pan?
Line the bottom rack of yor oven with a layer of aluminum foil to catch any oil that drops off the fry pan. Preheat the oven to 325°F (162°C). While the oven is preheating, apply a generous coating of vegetable oil to the interior surface of the fry pan. Once the oven is up to temperature, carefully place four fry pan upside down on the top rack and heat for one hour at 325°F (162°C). Allow the fry pan to cool in the oven for at least 30 minutes before attempting to remove it. Once cool, your Lightweight Cast Iron Fry Pan is seasoned and ready to use. Repeat this process periodically as required.
My pan is turning a black color, is this normal?
The inside of the pan will start turning black or patina after several uses. This is normal and an indication that your fry pan is well seasoned.
Is the Lightweight Cast Iron Fry Pan oven safe?
Yes, it is oven safe up to 450°F (232°C)
Can I use on the BBQ or campfire?
No. It is not safe for campfire, BBQ or microwave use. Keep away.
My pan feels sticky inside after rubbing vegetable oil on it, is this normal?
This is normal and will diminish after many uses.
There are rust marks on my cast iron, what can I do?
Never leave the fry pan to soak in water and allow it to fully air dry before storing. If not, it may cause rust spots to appear. If this happens, gently remove the rust spots with steel wool or a scrubbing pad and re-season.
